Make More Magic is a division of the Consumer Aerosol Products Council (CAPCO) a non-profit group committed to supporting the aerosol products industry. Comprised of key players in the Aerosol Products industry ranging from production, to sales teams, to large consumer brands, CAPCO strives to better understand and educate consumers on the uses, environmental impacts, and safety of aerosol products. It’s the organization’s goal to help consumers Make More Magic with aerosol products.

Steered by a volunteer board of seasoned industry veterans, CAPCO also serves as a network of industry professionals, a hub for market research, and a unifying voice for the aerosol products industry. Through consumer marketing activations, research projects, and regular industry speaking engagements, CAPCO is uniquely positioned as a liaison between the American Public and the aerosol product industry.

Through partnerships with aerosol products industry principles and its consistent consumer messaging, CAPCO aims to inform, change attitudes, and inspire solutions.

Messaging Campaign: August 2018 - Ongoing

A new dedicated web, social and communications platform, Mist:Understood delivers the Make More Magic message in a youthful and engaging way through creative digital content and live, in-person events. Mist:Understood aims to bring positive aerosol messaging to the places most meaningful to young people, their local communities and their digital devices, the means through which they explore the world.

Cynthia Hundley

Publisher, Spray Technology & Marketing

Cindy is the publisher of SPRAY TECHNOLOGY & MARKETING magazine and the president of Industry Publications which publishes several business titles. Since joining the company in 1981, she has held various sales positions and was named Publisher in 1995, a position she serves in currently.

Along with her board duties at CAPCO, Cindy serves as a Trustee on the board of the Eastern Aerosol Association and the former Ops Team of the Alliance for Consumer Education. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware.

At home she is Cindy VanderVoort. Her husband, Koert, is retired from the fragrance industry. They have one daughter and always at least one rescue dog.

Charlie Ortman

National Sales Manager, Diversified CPC

Charlie Ortmann has been with Diversified CPC for 26 years and is currently National Sales Manager. Charlie has a passion for the industry and is either currently serving or has served on the boards of Mid-Western Aerosol Association, Western Aerosol Information Bureau, and Consumer Aerosol Products Council, Consumer Specialty Products Association as Program Chair and the Product Survey.

Joe Bowen

Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Aeropres Corporation

John Bowen is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Aeropres Corporation. He has degrees in Marketing and Chemistry and has over 30 years of experience in the consumer products industry. Two-thirds of his experience has been in the aerosol products industry and he serves as the Chairman Emeritus on the Consumer Aerosol Products Council.

John Blum

Technical Director, Ball Metalpack

An industry veteran with 27+ years experience John Blum is the Technical Director for Ball Metalpack and consultant for Ball Aerocan. John is knowledgeable in aerosol container manufacturer, regulations, litigation and sustainability of aerosol containers and products.

John Davis

SVP Technical Services, PLZ Aeroscience Corporation

An aerosol Industry veteran with 25 years of experience. John is knowledgeable in R&D, regulatory, packaging and manufacturing of aerosol products ranging from industrial to OTC.

Roger Vanderlaan

General Manager, Shield Packaging of CA

Roger has spent forty years in the consumer products industry. Twenty five years of which have been in the aerosol industry. He is a strong advocate of the benefits that our products bring to everyday life and our responsibility to our communities and environment.

Ryan Bibro

Vice President, IKI Manufacturing

Ryun has been involved with the aerosol industry since an early age, participating on the boards of CAPCO, MAA, National Aerosol Association and several committees of the HCPA. Ryun has a passion for the aerosol product form and for moving it forward through technological advancement and innovation. He has also been involved in community and non-profit organization leadership for over 15 years, serving as president of the Edgerton Chamber, his local church and children's school, as well as chairing and being involved with many fundraising projects including the humane society, YWCA women's shelter, the Edgerton Book Festival and many other charitable causes.

Scott Carpenter

VP, Marketing and Partner Innovation at Formulated Solutions

With over 20 years of experience in aerosols, first serving as a Packaging Engineer for one of the world’s largest producers of aerosol products and now as a Marketing and Innovation lead for one of the most respected Consumer Healthcare CDMOs in North America, Scott has seen the aerosol industry from a multitude of perspectives. His insights on the technical aspects of aerosols combined with consumer behavior and usage will prove invaluable as we tackle the challenges of how best to reach and inform a new generation of consumers.

Sean Fitzgerald

Vice President Sales, Cobra Plastics

Sean has been in the aerosol industry for 30 years. During his tenure he has covered aerosol valves, aluminum cans, tin plate cans, and contract packaging. He is currently Chairman of the Consumer Aerosol Products Association (CAPCO) Sean is past president of the National Aerosol Association, past Treasurer and current Board Member. Sean has served on the Southern Aerosol Technical Association board of directors. Served as a Director at Large on the CSPA Board of Directors , and was on the Board of Directors for the Aerosol Division.

Wendy Kennedy

Senior Communications Manager, Procter and Gamble

Wendy is responsible for leading global and regional communications for P&G Home Care brands – Febreze, Swiffer, Mr. Clean, Dawn, and Cascade. She sets the strategies and manages the team handling traditional and digital influencer media relations along with transparency plans across the businesses. Wendy brings more than 24 years of media relations, professional communications, public relations and brand marketing to her current role. Most recently, she was Senior Communication of Global Olay Skin Care and North American Skin and Personal Care category. Prior to that, she was head of North America Professional Communications for P&G Beauty Care. Wendy received a master degree in Communications from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and a bachelor of arts degree in Speech Communications from Wittenberg University (Ohio).

Mary Frash

Marketing Manager, Food & Household Division, Ball Corporation

Mary is the head of marketing for the global aerosol division of Ball Corporation and focuses on bringing aerosol can innovations to market. She currently serves as the Marketing Director for the Mist:Understood brand. Over the last twelve years she has held various roles in the marketing field--from publicist to innovation strategy, and she has spent time in both the B2B and B2C space. Mary graduated from Loyola Chicago in 2006 and completed her MBA at the University of Colorado in 2013.
